Paul Tweed is the founder of W P Tweed & Co. With over thirty years’ experience, he is an internationally recognised expert in the field of media law and reputation management. Paul is a regular contributor on media law issues in both traditional and online media. He has made many appearances on UK and International news services including Sky news, BBC, Ireland AM, RTE and Bloomberg News.

Paul has, by invitation, addressed the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the draft Defamation Bill and the Northern Ireland Assembly committee on the Defamation Act.

He has addressed the Oxford Union and Feile an Phobail as well as various international Bar Associations and business groups.

In 2012 Paul published Privacy and Libel Law; The Clash with Press Freedom. He is a regular contributor to a number of international and professional publications and periodicals.

Selena Kerins


Having qualified in the Republic of Ireland, and subsequently been admitted to the roll of solicitors in Northern Ireland and England & Wales, Selena has over 25 years experience in dealing with a broad range of contentious matters in all three jurisdictions. Selena has a recognised expertise in professional negligence, insurance law, and occupational health claims. With a client base that includes, corporates, insurance companies and high profile individuals, Selena has also acted for a number of Northern Ireland`s largest employers. In addition to her litigation practice, Selena also works alongside partner Paul Tweed, in dealing with media and reputation management issues, advising on both pre and post-publication matters.

Peter McGrath


Peter is a specialist in media litigation, commercial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.

His practice encompasses all aspects of media law, reputation management and crisis management including defamation, misuse of private information, privacy, harassment, and data protection. Much of his work involves social and online media and his clients often require advice which works alongside existing strategies.

Peter has expertise in a broad range of contentious matters including high value and complex contract disputes, professional negligence, and insolvency related litigation.

He also has a wealth of experience in financial services disputes and has been seconded to two of Ireland’s leading financial institutions.

Peter is qualified to act in the jurisdictions of Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and England and Wales.

Marie Hans

Senior Solicitor

Marie is a highly skilled litigator who specialises in reputation management, privacy and media issues. With a wealth of experience acting for high-net-worth individuals and corporates from the UK and around the world, Marie deals with issues involving data protection, social media harassment and online misinformation.

Marie’s expertise includes dealing with both pre and post publication issues. She represents her client’s interests in dealing with the global social media platforms in addition to both online and print/broadcast media, with a particular interest in “right to be forgotten” applications. Marie also has a proven track record in human rights matters, and judicial review.

Caoimhe Cunningham


Caoimhe graduated with a first class honours degree in Law (LLB) from Queen’s University Belfast in 2020. She trained in the Office of the Attorney General for Northern Ireland and completed her professional training in 2022, obtaining a postgraduate diploma with distinction from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.

Caoimhe works as an integral part of a partner led team, dealing with reputation management issues encompassing data protection, misuse of private information, and online misinformation. A focus of Caoimhe’s work is assisting in representing high profile individuals and private companies in dealing with complaints relating to social media platforms, including actions against other platform users and complaints against the platform itself. Caoimhe also has experience of assisting with complex commercial litigation involving contractual disputes.
